Democrat COVID Hypocrisy Proves They Don’t Believe In Their Policies

I had a Democrat friend tell me recently that Republicans will do anything to keep their hold on power. I, as a Republican, found this an odd statement. I couldn’t understand how the party that calls for less taxes, less regulation, less government spending, smaller federal government overall, could possibly be seen as the party seeking more power. I eventually understood that the left is so conditioned to believe in paradoxical policy that something like this can actually be seen as true. COVID has done more to prove this than any recent event.

I don’t need to go into detail of all the time Democrats ignored their own policies during the pandemic, here is a pretty good list. What does their willingness to ignore their own guidelines tell you? It certainly looks to me like they know good and well they aren’t scientifically necessary and the activities they outlaw present no real danger.

The most blatant example is LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl. Hours after banning all OUTDOOR dining, she goes and eats at her favorite restaurant outdoors. Now, if that activity was so utterly dangerous, don’t you think the person advocating against it would be far too afraid to, then, partake in that activity. That seems sound, logically, to me.

But it’s not just COVID related policy that Leftists call for and then ignore. Look at pretty much any democrat policy and you’ll find the democrats doing the opposite.

Environmentalist policy from the left is one of the leading causes of wildfire in California. A study from the University of Michigan and Cornell found that people who claim to be “highly concerned” about climate change advocated for most government intervention but were least likely to take any individual level action. And while they call for immediate change to clean energy they can’t run fast enough away from the only reliable clean energy we have in nuclear.

Democrats claim to be the party of the poor and the middle class but look at what occupations gave to which candidate in this past election, from Bloomberg. While also taking the majority of the political donations from Wall Street. It sure seems like the working class is supporting one side considerably more than the other, while the big business are throwing their influence behind the Democrats. Joe Biden, in the same breath, will say he’s not going to raise taxes for anyone making less than $400,000 a year as well as repealing the “Trump tax cut”, which would literally raise taxes for everyone.

All summer we heard about how bad and evil the police are but when Republican Senator Tim Scott puts forth a police reform bill they refuse to even put on the floor for debate. Their main rallying cry has been “Defund the Police” all while crime has seen tremendous spikes throughout the country, largely against African Americans and other minorities.

Our moral betters on the political left don’t care about what actually happens to us normal citizens. They don’t care what effect their policy actually has on people because they will always be immune to it. Taylor Swift, Pete Davidson, and Gavin Newsom can all happily do their jobs, get paid, and then slide on to their coaches in luxury homes, while the rest of the country just wants to be able to make rent, pay their mortgage, feed their kids, or not lose their business. But none of that matters to them because their policy doesn’t affect them. The COVID lockdowns, primarily supported by the left, has caused profits to rise 80–100% for business like Amazon, Walmart, and Target, while nearly 30% of small business have had to shutter for good.

Nancy Pelosi said this out loud just a few days ago. She and her colleagues have never once cared about the actual problems facing the American people. They’ve been playing games and holding congress hostage all year to achieve political wins while small business and the citizens suffer. Trump and the Republicans have repeatedly offered compromises and options to help the American people while the self proclaimed “Party of the People” has stonewalled and sacrificed their constituents livelihoods for political gain.

Representative Dan Crenshaw summed it up pretty nicely here:

I’m not gonna even bother to go through all the socialist policies that have been put forth in recent years by leftists that has historically led to the death and destruction of countries every single time they have been put in place, maybe another day. Those who forget (or ignore/change) history are doomed to repeat it, as the common phrase goes.

In the end, it’s hard to see how people continue to fall for the lies leftists espouse every day, when they say one thing and do the exact opposite at nearly every turn. Maybe if they didn’t have the entire weight of media and big tech running cover and blocking any and all criticism, people open their eyes to the fact that Democrats do not care about the American People.
